River Cruising Is Not Just For Europe Anymore
Contrary to popular belief, river cruising is not exclusive to Europe. Most of the world's great cities have emerged along the shores of mighty rivers and today river cruising has expanded to travel the world's great rivers. There are opportunities to explore rivers all across the globe, from the Yangtze River in China to the Irrawaddy river in Burma. There are also river cruises in the USA and South America, with routes along the Mississippi and the Amazon rivers. River cruises offer the opportunity to explore territory which is often thought of as the remit of backpackers, in a luxurious relaxed, leisurely and safe way.

Sailing Through The Caribbean – Star Clipper Trip Report
Last winter Clint and I were gazing out to sea at sunset from a funky beach bar on St. Kitts. Off in the distance was the most beautiful sailing ship gliding majestically through the bay with soft sunlight reflecting off its billowing sails. Right then and there I knew I had to get on that ship! A bit of detective work determined that the gorgeous 4 masted schooner was one of Star Clipper's sailing ships and you guessed it... this winter we went sailing with Star Clipper on a journey through the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean. Join me on this memorable journey:

Have you ever thought about possible crime occurring on board a ship? Most cruisers don’t. But as cruise ships become ever larger and now carry as many passengers as some small towns, crime on board should not be overlooked. Crime aboard cruise ships is not a topic that is openly discussed on the news or throughout the cruise industry, but it does occur.
